Travel Ba Ria – Vung Tau greets more than 8 million tourists

The Ba Ria – Vung Tau Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism reported that in October the province welcomed 204,000 tourists, raising the figure for whole ten months of this year to 8 million reaching 95.95% of the year’s target. Of this, nearly 300,000 foreign tourists visited the province.

Total revenue from tourism in the first 10 months of 2010 reached an estimated VND 1,71 trillion, 96% of the year’s target.
By October 2010, the province had 76 hotels and motels ranked from one to five stars with 4,195 rooms. In the near future, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism will coordinate with the Hotel Department under the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism to continue to appraise the rankings for hotels.
